Three Fouls on One Play

NCAA Situation

After the snapper touches the ball, an offensive guard commits a false start by coming out of his three-point stance. In reaction, the defensive player opposite him jumps across the neutral zone and slugs the guard, who in turn slugs the defenders. Officials drop flags for all three fouls. What happens?

NCAA Situation

Third and five at the defensive team's 30. The defense has no more timeouts remaining. The clock is running as the offensive team breaks the huddle and lines up with several split receivers. A linebacker, confused by the offensive formation, requests a timeout from the Head Linesman. The Head Linesman signals timeout, stopping the clock.

Get Timeout Back after Overrule?

The following situation occurred in the Saints-Panthers game 10/9/11.

Situation: With less than a minute to play and Carolina trailing 30-27, Cam Newton throws a pass to Legedu Naanee, who makes a diving catch at the New Orleans 45 for a first down. The Panthers call their second timeout of the half to stop the clock. The replay official reviews the play and reverses the call on the field, saying that Naanee did not control the ball as he hit the ground.

May the Panthers get their timeout back since the clock would have stopped if the pass had originally been ruled incomplete?
